AMES, Iowa - The Wake Forest men's cross country team placed 32nd of 52 teams at the Iowa State Memorial Cross Country Classic Saturday at the ISU Cross Country Course, the site of the National Championships Nov. 20. Stanford won the meet on the 10,000 Meter course.

Ted DeVos paced the Demon Deacons, taking 54th place with a time of 32:00.8. DeVos, a junior from Ponte vedra Beach, Fla., has led the Deacs in the last two races. Garick Hill and Chris Estwanik both finished under 33 minutes for Wake Forest. Jorge Torres from Colorado was the individual champion, finishing with a time of 30:31.1.
