SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Wake Forest closed out competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and notched another All-American accolade as junior Michael Bingham placed fifth in the 400-meter run on Saturday at Hornet Stadium.

Bingham ran a 45.57 and for the second time in as many days broke his own school record. On Friday, Bingham's semi-final run of 45.63 broke his own record of 46.13, which he set last year.

Florida State's Ricardo Chambers won the event with his 44.66.

The Burlington, N.C. native earned All-American honors for the first time in his career and became the first to earn the accolade in men's outdoor track since 1999 when Nolan Swanson notched the honor in the 10,000-meter run.

Michelle Sikes also earned All-American honors yesterday after winning the National title in the 5,000-meter run.
