Yellow Jacket Invite Schedule Get Acrobat Reader

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Wake Forest track and field teams are traveling to Georgia Tech for the Yellow Jacket Invitational, the second meet in the outdoor portion of the 2008 schedule.

Friday evening the meet will kick-off with the hammer throw at 6 p.m. Events will resume on Saturday with shot put and javelin and 10:30 a.m., followed by running events at 11:30.

Last weekend the Demon Deacons hosted the Wake Forest Open, which served as the team's outdoor season kickoff. Caroline Vaughn, Michelle Loyd and Kerry Major all hit NCAA regional qualifying marks in their respected events and will venture to Tallahassee on May 30-31 for the NCAA Southeast Regional competition.

Next week, qualifying members of the WFU squad are headed to Palo Alto, Calif. for the Stanford Invitational, scheduled for April 5-6.
