CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Cory Parr and Steven Forman are representing the Wake Forest men's tennis team at the ITA/Wilson Mideast Regional Championships at the University of Virginia. In addition to singles action, Parr, seeded fourth in singles, teams up with Forman for doubles.

After a bye in the first round, Parr defeated Brian Fitzgerald of George Mason 6-2, 6-1 before handing Eidgy Igarashi of Old Dominion a 6-3, 6-3 defeat on Friday to advance to the round of 16. Parr will face Sanam Singh of Virginia, who is seeded ninth in the tournament, at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Forman picked up a first-round victory after defeating Alex Ahlgren of ETSU 6-4, 6-4, but fell to second-seeded Martin Sayer of Radford 7-6 (4), 6-3 in the second round.

In doubles, the duo blanked Dan Couzens of Old Dominion and Yufo Sutantion of the Citadel 8-0.
