STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Raul Munoz, a member of the Wake Forest menās tennis team, lost 6-2, 6-2 to Richard Magney in the first pre-qualifying round of the ITA Menās All-American Championships Saturday morning at Lincoln Tennis Center. With no consolation bracket, Munoz is eliminated from singles play.
Munoz, a senior from Mexico City, Mexico will join Wake Forest teammate, Michael Murray, in the All-American Championships doubles competition on Tuesday, Oct. 10. The Demon Deacon duo will begin in the qualifying round and attempt to advance to match play, which begins Thursday, Oct. 12.
Murray, a sophomore from Clearwater, Fla., will begin singles play on
Thursday, Oct. 12 in match play of the All-American Championships.
