CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Wake Forest's Steven Forman and Cory Parr have outlasted the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's elite field of 16 doubles teams from across the country and will play for the National Indoors Title on Sunday at the Boar's Head Sports Club in Charlottesville. The Demon Deacon duo will play Southern California's Robert Farah and Steve Johnson. Farah was one half of the doubles team that claimed the NCAA's doubles tournament title in 2008. Farah and Johnson ranked 11th in the ITA's 2008-09 preseason poll. The match will begin after the conclusion of the singles final, which is set to begin at 11 a.m. ET. Parr and Forman topped Tulsa's team of Arnau Brugues-Phil Stevens 7-6(3), 6-2 on Saturday in the tourney semifinals. The Indoors event was inaugurated in 1978. Past champions and finalists include current professionals Benjamin Becker (Baylor), James Blake (Harvard), Bob and Mike Bryan (Stanford), Laura Granville (Stanford), John Isner (Georgia), Kevin Kim (UCLA), and Lisa Raymond (Florida). Big Ten legends and Grand Slam finalists Todd Martin (Northwestern) and MaliVai Washington (Michigan) are also among the past champions.
