WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest Men's Tennis team defeated NC State on Friday evening, 6-1. The Deacons captured five of the six singles matches. Raul Munoz defeated Eric Jackson at No. 1 singles, 3-6, 6-4, 10-8. At No. 2 singles, Mike Berger defeated Devang Desai 6-2, 5-7, 12-10. Mike Murray defeated Keith Salmon at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-3. At No. 4 singles, Justin Kaufmann defeated Shaun Thomas 6-1, 7-6. Securing the victory at No. 6 singles was David Bere, who defeated Brad Kilgore 6-1, 6-4. The Deacs won two of the three doubles matches to clinch the win. With this victory, the Deacons move to 12-10 on the season and will return to action on Tuesday, April 18 at home against High Point.
