Men's Tennis Wins Two

Deacons improve to 13-8.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team won two matches Saturday afternoon at Leighton Stadium. The team defeated UNC- Greensboro 7-0 and earned a win over East Carolina by default. The victories improve Wake Forest's season record to 13-8 (2-2 ACC).

The Demon Deacons struck early to win the doubles point. Wake's star doubles team of Myles Clouston and Raul Munoz continued its fine play with an 8-1 win at No. 1. Billy Gluck and Johan Hansen won at No. 3, 8-2.

Wake Forest dominated singles action. Clouston won easily at No. 1, 6-4, 6-2. Gluck and Raul Munoz won easily at Nos. 2 and 3. Andres Guzman rebounded to win over Daniel Wollman at No. 4, 3-6, 6-0, 6-2. Hansen and Brett Mauro won in two sets at Nos. 5 and 6.

The Demon Deacons host N.C. State April 17 at 2 p.m.
