Men's Tennis Defeats ODU

Deacons even record at 7-7.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team defeated Old Dominion 4-3 Saturday afternoon at the Indoor Tennis Center. With the win, Wake Forest improves to 7-7 on the year.

The Demon Deacons struck early to win the doubles point. Senior Jimmy Chou and Sophomore Andres Guzman battled for a 9-8 (5) win at No. 3. Wake's stand-out team of Myles Clouston and Raul Munoz won at No. 1, 8-4. Michael Berger and Johan Hansen fell in a tie-breaker at No. 3, 9-8 (4).

In singles action, Myles Clouston beat Alex Cancado at No. 1, 6-2, 6-1. Michael Berger continued his fine play, winning at No. 2. Raul Munoz won at No. 6, 6-1, 7-5.

The Demon Deacons return to action on tomorrow, March 22 when they host Furman at 1:30 p.m.
