WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 17 Wake Forest men's tennis team split decisions over the weekend, dropping a 4-3 contest to No. 19 Michigan and taking a 7-0 sweep of Davidson on Saturday in Winston-Salem. The Wolverines (7-2) opened play with a doubles shutout to take the 1-0 advantage against the Deacons (7-3) heading into singles competition. WFU Senior Mariusz Adamski was topped by Mike Srocyzsnki 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3, but the Deacs knotted the score at 2-2 with wins from Steve Forman and Jason Morganstern at Nos. 1 and 5, respectively. The teams then traded match victories when Cory Parr nailed a three-set win at No. 2 over UM's Jason Jung and Andrew Mazlin posted a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 victory against Wake Forest freshman Jon Wolff at No. 4. Chris Madden clinched the Wolverine win at No. 6 with a 6-3, 6-2 outcome over Andrew Brasseaux. The Deacons bounced back against Davidson, opening with a 3-0 doubles sweep and taking straight set singles wins across the lineup for a 7-0 win. Wake Forest will open ACC play this week, hosting NC State on Wednesday, March 5 at 3 p.m. Tennis Match Results
