COLUMBUS, Ohio and RICHMOND, Va. - Steve Forman led the Wake Forest men's tennis team with top singles wins, but it wasn't enough for the Demon Deacons to post victories against No. 3 Ohio State and Virginia Commonwealth over the weekend.

On Friday, the Deacons (3-2) fell 5-1 to the Buckeyes (7-0) in Columbus. After falling behind 1-6 in the first set, Forman rallied to notch a win over #85 Bryan Koniecko at No. 2 singles with 6-3, 7-6 performance in the second and third sets.

WFU Junior Cory Parr was edged by sixth-ranked Justin Kronauge in a first set tiebreaker (7-1), and dropped the second set 6-3.

In Richmond, the Rams (7-1) opened with a doubles point win and followed with singles wins at Nos. 3, 5 and 6 to secure the upset. Forman posted his first win of the season at No. 1 singles, while Parr defeated Thibaut Charron in three sets at No. 2. At No. 4, Jon Wolff grabbed the final Demon Deacon win of the afternoon with a 6-7 (4), 7-5, 6-1 victory over Stepan Siska.

Wake Forest will host three matches this weekend, beginning with ETSU on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Brown at 3 p.m. On Sunday the Demon Deacons will host South Carolina at 1 p.m. at the WFU Indoor Tennis Center.
