Recorded a 5-4 singles record in first semester at Wake....only freshman on the squad to qualify for the main draw of the ITA Mideast Regional Tournament in mid-October...did so with two matches in straight sets...went 1-2 overall in doubles with fellow newcomer Andrew Brasseaux...

Was the 33rd-ranked junior nationally and fourth-ranked player in New York... at the National Open in Latham, N.Y., in October 2005, Morgenstern was a semifinalist... reached the round of 16 at the 2004 National Clay Courts Tournament... competed in the prestigious Junior Davis Cup with current Deacon and fellow New Yorker Cory Parr.
