Wake Forest also set a new school NCAA Tournament record with 21 points against Dartmouth and tied a school NCAA Tournament record with seven assists. South Florida enters the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament with a 15-4-3 record. The Bulls earned the No. 8 seed in the tournament after winning the Big East Conference Tournament. Zak Boggs has also added five goals and five assists on the year for South Florida. Jeff Attinella serves as the starting goalkeeper for USF. Attinella has a 14-3-2 record on the season and has only allowed nine goals in 1763 minutes. His 0.46 goals against average ranks sixth in the country. Attinella has 10 shutouts on the year. Wake Forest and South Florida are meeting for the third time in series history. The two teams have split the previous two meetings, with USF winning the last matchup in the 1996 season.
