GREENSBORO, N.C.--The tenth-ranked Wake Forest men's soccer team defeated the UNC Greensboro Spartans 1-0 here Saturday night.

Junior forward Ben Stafford scored the game's lone goal at the 6:26 mark to give Wake the 1-0 advantage.

Both teams had chances to score in the second half, but neither could convert those chances.

Wake Forest improves to 6-0-3 with the win. UNC Greensboro drops to 6-5 with the loss. Wake Forest will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 5 when it hosts the Radford Highlanders. Gametime is set for 7 p.m. at Spry Stadium.
