WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.--The 1999 Wake Forest Pro-Am Golf Tournament, which benefits the varsity golf programs at Wake Forest University, will take place this Monday, April 19, at the Old Town Club in Winston-Salem. A number of former Wake Forest players who have played in the professional golf ranks will participate, including:
The event, which raises upwards of $125,000 annually, allows donors to meet and play a round with a pro in return for their contribution to the Demon Deacon golf programs. In addition, current Deacon golfers get the opportunity to serve as caddies for their predecessors.
The event is closed to the public.
