WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Webb Simpson shot his best round of the week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, an even-par 70, to finish in a tie for 47th entering Sunday's final round at Bay Hill.

Simpson is eight strokes off the first-place score of 204 shared by six participants, including Tiger Woods and defending champion Vijay Singh.

Simpson finished Saturday's round with two birdies, on holes eight and 14 of the par-70, 7,239-yard Bay Hill Club.

The Raleigh native has 10 birdies total for the first three rounds.
