WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 21-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons are set to host the Clemson Tigers in an ACC Atlantic Division showdown on Thursday, Oct. 9, at BB&T Field. The national spotlight will be upon the Deacons and Tigers, as the game will be televised on ESPN. The contest, set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m., will also be broadcast on the Wake Forest ISP Radio Network.

Wake Forest enters at 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the ACC. The Deacs are coming off a disappointing 24-17 loss at home to Navy on Sept. 27. Wake committed six turnovers in the game, and the Midshipmen converted the miscues into two touchdowns and a field goal.

Clemson comes to town with a record of 3-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Tigers had their three-game winning streak snapped on Sept. 27 when they lost at home to Maryland, 20-17.

Clemson holds a 56-16-1 advantage in the all-time series, which dates back to 1933. The Deacons have won two of the last five meetings and two of the last three games played at BB&T Field. Clemson has won each of the last two contests, including a 44-10 decision last Nov. 10 in Death Valley. In the teams' last meeting at BB&T Field, Clemson scored 24 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to erase a 17-3 deficit and post a 27-17 win.
