Sept. 7, 2006

Wake Forest Football will be honoring America's armed forces and civil service personnel before and during Saturday's home game against Duke. "Heroes Day" will include special pre-game and in-game festivities, as well as a reduced ticket price of $10 to all armed force members and their family members. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 12:00pm.

With the fifth anniversary of September 11th only two days after the game, Heroes Day will serve as a reminder of the price of freedom and the respect due to America's brave men and women.

Head Coach Jim Grobe remarked on the commemorative game, "I think it is great that we are able to honor our American Heroes at the game this Saturday. They do so much for our community and I'm glad we are able to have a game where we can say `thank you for all you do for us.'"
