Just as Deacon Tower at BB&T Field is on the cutting edge of technology, so are Wake Forest's efforts to reach out to its fans. Deacon Tower has been widely hailed as perhaps the finest media and hospitality facility in college football. And Wake Forest hopes that its fans enjoy the same type of game day experience.

Starting with Saturday's home opener against Ole Miss, Wake Forest fans can call the Game Day Hotline at (336) 758-GAME (4263). Demon Deacon fans can call the number during the week with general questions about parking, traffic, and stadium policies and procedures.

Three hours prior to kickoff, the phone line will be staffed with a professional customer service representative. Fans can call with stadium questions, to report cleaning and restroom problems, concessions questions, medical issues or to report a health or safety matter. The phone will be answered in the Security and Command Center of Deacon Tower which will be staffed with officials from the Wake Forest University Police Department, the Winston-Salem Police Department, Forsyth County Emergency Medical Services and event security.

"While customer service has always been a priority, we are always looking for new ways to reach out to our fan base," said Brett Hickman, Wake Forest's assistant athletic director for event management and facilities. "We put a priority on trying to find new and innovative ways in which we can provide our fans the best service."

Fans in the stadium can also utilize the Guest Information booths in front of Bridger Field House at Gate 1 and other Guest Information booths at Section 5, Section 15 and Deacon Hill. The booths can be used to fill out comment cards, report lost children, contact security and answer general security questions.

"The purpose of the hotline is to focus on immediate reaction time," said Hickman. "While some fans may not be comfortable reporting a behavioral problem to a security officer, they can now report the incident over the phone and stadium officials can react quickly."

A new web site, WakeForestGameDay.com was created to help answer questions over the internet. On the site fans can find all of the BB&T Field policies, seating and parking maps, and other useful information.
