WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest football team reported to campus on Thursday afternoon and will begin practice for the 2008 season on Friday.

The Deacons welcomed 105 players back to campus. Following a team meeting late Thursday afternoon, the squad was scheduled to have dinner at Deacon Tower Thursday night and receive a tour of the new facility while also undergoing physicals.

Wake Forest will issue equipment on Friday morning and hold team meetings in the afternoon before hitting the practice field at 5:15 p.m. The team will practice in helmets, jerseys and shorts on the first two days.

Saturday, the squad will hold its annual Media Day event at BB&T Field in the morning and will practice in the afternoon at 3:15 p.m. at the Doc Martin Football Practice Complex on campus. Sunday, the Deacs will practice at 3:30 p.m.

The squad is scheduled to practice at 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday next week.

Wake Forest opens the season on Thursday, August 28 at Baylor.
