GREENSBORO, GA. - The team of Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe and CBS broadcaster Billy Packer shot a four-under 68 in the Chick-fil-A Bowl Alma Mater at Reynolds Plantation to finish in fifth place out of 12 teams.

The teams were comprised of collegiate head football coaches and famous alumni from their respective schools.

Steve Spurrier and Sterling Sharpe of the University of South Carolina carded a 12-under 60 to win the event by five strokes.

Teams were playing for a $350,000 scholarship purse on the

UCLA (Rick Neuheisel, Sinjin Smith) and Virginia Tech (Frank Beamer, Dell Curry) finished tied for second place with seven-under 65s.

"Coach Spurrier and Sterling Sharpe really brought their 'A' games today in winning the championship among such a great field of competitors," Chick-fil-A Bowl President Gary Stokan said. "Our congratulations go out to the team from South Carolina and our thanks to all the teams who came out today to enjoy a great day on the golf course, some good competition and a lot of laughs."

The celebrity round was taped for broadcast and will air nationally on CBS at 2 p.m. (ET) Christmas Day.

In addition to the $350,000 scholarship purse, another $50,000 of the proceeds was donated to the Reynolds Foundation.
