WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- A number of former Demon Deacon football greats will return to Winston-Salem for this weekend's football reunion that will include a Friday golf outing, Saturday's spring game and a team banquet at BB&T Field to celebrate the Meineke Car Care Bowl Championship. Among the group of approximately 50 returning players will be New York Giants star and Super Bowl champion Fred Robbins, the Atlanta Falcons' Tyson Clabo, former NFL defensive end Nate Bolling, former All-America kicker Chuck Ramsey, two-time Super Bowl champion Ed Bradley, All-ACC defensive end Bryan Ray, All-ACC offensive guard Blake Henry and 2007 All-America center Steve Justice. The alumni, along with the current Wake Forest coaching staff, will tee-off at the Tanglewood Championship Course Friday at 1 p.m. to kick-off the weekend's festivities. Following the golf outing will be a reunion dinner at Bridger Field House highlighted by Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe's speech on the success of the 2007 season and the outlook for 2008. Saturday will start with an alumni tailgate catered by Mountain Fried Chicken in the area adjacent to the Doc Martin Football Practice Complex on the Wake Forest campus. The Demon Deacon spring game will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Doc Martin Football Practice Complex. The reunion weekend will conclude Saturday at 5:30 p.m. with a team banquet celebrating the 2007 Wake Forest football team and its victory over UConn in the Meineke Bowl.
