One of the most popular players in recent Wake Forest history, Brad White returns to Winston-Salem to join the Deacon football staff in 2007. White will assist recruiting coordinator Ray McCartney with all correspondence with recruits.

White was a three-year starter for the Deacons from 2002-04. He started 34 of his 35 career games, making 227 career tackles, including 19 for loss. White's 24 tackles against Navy in 2002 still rank as the most-ever by a Deacon player in the Jim Grobe era. He led Wake Forest in tackles in 2002 with 94.

White transferred to Wake Forest from Georgia where he was coached by current Deacon linebackers coach Brad Lambert. White earned his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest in analytical finance and his master's in accountancy. He was named Academic All-District III by the College Sports Information Directors of America in 2004.

Since his graduation, the native of Portsmouth, R.I., has been working for Bank of America as a Portfolio Management Analyst. He and his wife, Kate, reside in Winston-Salem.

2004
Started nine games at linebacker... was the team's fourth-leading tackler with 55 tackles, including 40 solo stops... had 7.5 tackles for loss which tied for second on the team... had sacks against Boston College, Miami and Maryland... forced a fumble against Virginia Tech... broke up a pass against Florida State... picked up a fumble against Florida State and returned it 36 yards for a touchdown... named Academic All-District III by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The team's third leading tackler with 78 total stops... also had five TFL, an interception and two pass break-ups... one of eight Deacon defenders to start all 12 games... also earned ACC All-Academic team honors for the second straight year... led the Deacs with 11 tackles at Boston College... also had a PBU against the Eagles... compiled six total tackles against NC State, including five solo stops... recorded a team-high 11 tackles, including one for loss (-1 yard) versus Purdue... recorded three solo tackles and two assists against East Carolina... had five solo stops and an assist, including one TFL at Virginia... had four tackles, three solo, against Georgia Tech... recorded five tackles and a PBU at Duke... credited five tackles at Florida State... tallied six stops against Clemson... had an 11-yard interception return for a TD on his first career pick late in the fourth quarter at North Carolina... also made three solo stops against the Tar Heels... made eight stops, including two TFLs against Connecticut... the team's second-leading tackler with eight stops (including six solo) against Maryland.

Redshirted the season at the University of Georgia... transferred to Wake Forest at the semester break... followed former Georgia assistant coach Brad Lambert, who accepted a position with the new WFU staff that December.

Earned three varsity letters in football, three in lacrosse and one in track at Bishop Hendricken... two-time all-state linebacker... named to the Tom Lemming Top 250... two-time USA Today All-America honorable mention... helped the Hawks to six straight state title games... caused a fumble with less than two minutes left in a state semifinal game that led to his team winning in overtime... Personal
