WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest men's basketball player Jamie Skeen has elected not to return to Wake Forest University for the spring semester.

Skeen was declared ineligible for the fall semester due to a violation of University academic policy. In order to be readmitted to the University for the spring semester, Skeen needed to file an appeal. He opted not to file that appeal.

Skeen lettered for the Demon Deacons during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. The Charlotte, N.C. native played in 29 games as a sophomore with six starts. He averaged 5.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

"I was disappointed to learn of Jamie's decision, but we wish him the best," said Wake Forest head coach Dino Gaudio. "He is an outstanding young man and one of the most coachable, respectful kids I have been associated with in 28 years of coaching. Jamie will make a strong contribution wherever he decides to pursue his academic and athletic careers."
