WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - No. 20-ranked Wake Forest is set to host Winston-Salem State in the third annual Twin City Shootout on Monday, Nov. 24. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Lawrence Joel Coliseum. The contest will be shown live on ACC Select and will be available on the Wake Forest ISP Radio Network.

The Deacons have taken each of the first two regular season meetings of the series, including last year's 73-53 victory. The Shootout originally began as an exhibition when WSSU played at the Division II level. The Deacs and Rams met in exhibition play in 2004 and 2005 before playing their first regular season contest during the 2006-07 season.

Wake Forest (2-0) is coming off a 120-88 defeat of UNC Wilmington last Wednesday. Led by Jeff Teague's career-high 31 points, the Deacs set a Joel Coliseum record for points scored and had their third-highest point toal ever. James Johnson added 25 points, while Chas McFarland scored 19.

Winston-Salem State (0-2) comes in following a 69-44 loss at Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 18. The Rams opened the season with a 92-47 loss at ACC foe Georgia Tech on Nov. 14.

Quickie Notes
- The Deacs scored the third-most points in program history in the team's 120-88 defeat of UNC Wilmington last week. The point total broke the Joel Coliseum record of 115 set in 2001.
- Al-Farouq Aminu and Tony Woods are off to great starts as freshmen. Aminu has had double-doubles in each of the first two games, while Woods has scored in double figures in both contests.
- Wake is facing its third consecutive in-state opponent for the first time since Feb. 11-19, 2006, when the Deacs played Charlotte, Duke and North Carolina back-to-back-to-back.
