The last time an unranked Wake Forest team defeated the No. 2-ranked team in the country was Feb. 13, 1994, when the Deacs knocked off Duke, 78-69, in Winston-Salem.

The last time Wake Forest defeated a top-five ranked team was Feb. 2, 2005, when No. 7 Wake downed No. 4 Duke 92-89 in Winston-Salem.

The last time the Deacons defeated a ranked opponent was March 3, 2007, when they defeated No. 25 Virginia 78-72 in Winston-Salem.

The last time Wake defeated the No. 2 team in the country was Feb. 28, 1995, when the No. 9 Deacons downed North Carolina 79-70 in Chapel Hill.

Wake Forest lost the opening tip for the 21st time this season.
