A talented and athletic big man who showed flashes of brilliance last season as a redshirt freshman... runs the floor very well for a big man... has worked extremely hard to become a scoring threat in the post... learned a great deal from going head-to-head with Kyle Visser in practice the previous two seasons... will compete with Chas McFarland to replace Visser in the post this season... redshirted the 2005-06 season and used the year to improve his overall game... gives the Deacons a shot-blocking presence in the paint... needs to improve on playing defense without fouling... the coaches would like to see him become a more dominant figure on the boards... has a soft face-up jump shot and has range up to 15 feet... can play either the forward or center positions... has a 7-3 arm span and reaches nine feet standing flat-footed.
