Tim Fuller, who played for Wake Forest from 1996-97 to 1999-2000, returned to his alma mater in September of 2004 as Director of Basketball Operations and now enters his third season in that role.

"Tim Fuller does a terrific job for us at Wake Forest," Demon Deacon head coach Skip Prosser said. "As a former Wake student and basketball player, he understands all that is expected here, both in the classroom and on the court. Tim is also a link to the glorious tradition of Wake Forest basketball."

The Woodbridge (VA) native returned to Winston-Salem after briefly serving as Director of Basketball Operations at Miami under former Wake Forest assistant coach Frank Haith. Prior to his stop with the Hurricanes, Fuller spent two seasons (2003 and 2004) at Elon University where he most recently served as associate head coach. At Elon, he served one year under another former Deacon assistant coach, Ernie Nestor.

Fuller's familiarity with Wake Forest, the Triad area and the ACC goes beyond his playing days with the Deacons and his coaching stint at Elon. Prior to joining the Phoenix staff, Fuller served as assistant coach at West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, NC. Tim specifically worked with the individual improvement of West Forsyth's junior varsity and varsity players, including 2005 All-American Chris Paul and former USC-Upstate point guard CJ Paul.

Fuller participated as a non-scholarship athlete at Wake Forest under current South Carolina Head Coach Dave Odom. As a Demon Deacon, he competed on the No. 2-ranked Deacon team, along with Tim Duncan. He ended his career as co-captain of the 2000 National Invitational Tournament (NIT) Championship team. Odom rewarded Fuller's work ethic, determination and athletic talent by offering him a deserving scholarship his senior season.

Fuller played at Woodbridge (VA) Senior High School from 1992-1996 for one of the best high school coaches on the east coast -- Will Robinson. He played four years of varsity for Robinson and started as a post player. Before choosing to pursue collegiate basketball he spent the summer practicing to become a guard, knowing his 6-4 stature would not allow him to play in the paint at the collegiate level.

Fuller is very dedicated to his profession and is fully involved in all aspects of developing and sustaining successful programs. When asked the question, "What inspires you?" Fuller said, "I feel that God has created an opportunity for me to touch the lives of young men through the game of basketball. I take full advantage of opportunities to share my gifts with all who are receptive."

This 2000 Wake Forest graduate interned with the Atlantic Coast Conference post graduation working for Associate Commissioner Fred Barakat and then Assistant Commissioner Carol Anne Gilmore. He also spent time as a volunteer assistant coach at North Carolina A&T with Curtis Hunter.

Fuller lives in Winston-Salem with his wife of five years, the former La' Kicia Andrews of Franklin, TN. The couple has a two-year old son, Timothy.
