A talented non-scholarship player... very familiar with the Wake Forest coaching staff after growing up in Cincinnati (where the WFU coaching staff previously worked at Xavier University)... transferred to Wake Forest in the fall of 2002 after attending the University of Cincinnati previously ... an outstanding student who ranked seventh in a class of 258 in high school. Played in six games last season and averaged 1.0 ppg amd 1.5 rpg. HIGH SCHOOL Graduated from Cincinnati's Elder High School in 2000... coached by Joe Schoenfeld... was all-state, team MVP and served as co-captain as a senior... helped lead Elder to the state title game... earned three letters in basketball and two letters in volleyball... played on the same high school team with Tim Schenke, who plays for Miami (OH)... played on the same AAU team with five players who are now playing Division I basketball including Adam Waleskowski at Florida State... AAU team advanced all the way to the national championship game... extremely active in extra-curricular activities including vice-president of the student council, chair of the service committee, and served on the spirit and liturgy committees. PERSONAL A member of the National Honor Society in high school... had some of his poetry work published... has a sister who was on the dance team at Miami (OH)... wants to one day work in forensics with the FBI... hobbies include writing poetry and playing guitar... credits his high school coach, Joe Schoenfeld, with having the biggest impact on his athletic career so far.
