WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will wrap up its fall workouts with the annual Black & Gold World Series starting this Saturday, Oct. 13. The Demon Deacons will play a five-game intrasquad series at Hooks Stadium from Oct. 13-19. The series gets started on Saturday at 1 p.m. As part of the Wake Forest Baseball Alumni Weekend, an alumni home run derby will precede the game. Game 2 of the World Series is slated for Sunday, Oct. 14, at 12:30 p.m. Following a two-day hiatus, the series resumes with Game 3 on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 3:30 p.m. Game 4 follows on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m. The series will conclude with Game 5 on Friday, Oct. 19, at 3:30 p.m. The Gold and Black squads have split each of the past two World Series. The Black took home the 2005 title, while the Gold prevailed in 2006. Allan Dykstra, Nathan Frazier, Dustin Hood and Brett Linnenkohl have been on the winning squads each of the past two falls. All Black & Gold World Series games are free and open to the public. Each will last seven innings and will be played at Hooks Stadium. 2007 Black & Gold World Series Schedule: Black Roster:
