The Wake Forest baseball team has arrived in Round Rock, Texas for the NCAA Baseball Regional.

The Demon Deacons got on the field for about an hour on Thursday afternoon at The Dell Diamond, home of the triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros.

Under a bright, blue Texas sky, the Deacons took batting practice and to take some groundballs and flyballs.

Wake Forest is making its first NCAA regional appearance since 2002. The Deacons take on UC-Irvine at 2:00 p.m. eastern time, 1:00 p.m. local time on Friday afternoon. Stan Cotten and Alan York will have the call for all of Wake Forest's postseason action on 98.l WBRF and WakeForestSports.com.
