Salem, Va. - Wake Forest junior shortstop Ben Ingold was selected to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference second team, the league announced at its annual pre-tournament banquet on Monday night.

Ingold, a three-year starter and native of Durham, N.C., has started at shortstop in all of Wake Forest's 49 games. He leads the Deacons with a .367 batting average, 14 doubles and a .426 on-base percentage. Ingold's 43 RBI ranks second on the team and his 11 stolen bases rank third.

Ingold's .367 average was the sixth-best in the ACC during the regular season.

Ingold becomes the 11th Wake Forest shortstop to be named to the All-ACC teams since the inception of the conference in 1954.

The 31st ACC Baseball Tournament begins Tuesday night in Salem, Va., as the Deacons take on Maryland at 7:30 p.m.
