THE BOOK ON MAYCROFT
A talented right-hander used exclusively in short relief in his first season at Wake Forest... did not pitch last season because of injury... transferred from Elgin CC in Illinois... spent the summer of 2001 in the Cape Cod League with the Hyannis Mets... is fully healthy for the first time since coming to Wake Forest two years ago... gives the Deacons experience and depth... will see time out of the bullpen.
2002: JUNIOR YEAR
Did not pitch because of an elbow injury.
2001: SOPHOMORE YEAR
Pitched the ninth in a win at Virginia Tech with no hits but two walks... was unavailable for much of the season with back spasms... made his season debut against Charlotte, pitching one scoreless inning.
DUNDEE CROWN HS / ELGIN CC
Pitched at Elgin Community College in Illinois for one season after a solid prep career at Dundee Crown High School... was named to the Fox Valley All-Conference team in 1999... selected to the All-Area team in 1999 as well... toured Australia with Champions International Baseball.
