Men's and Women's Cross Country Regional

Wake Forest University is proud to host the NCAA Southeast Regionals on Nov. 15, at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, N.C. The event will feature Division I cross country teams from Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
The meet will begin at 11 a.m., with the women's 6-kilometer event. Forty-five institutions sponsor DI cross country women's teams from across the four participating states.
At 12 p.m., the men's 10-kilometer race will follow, featuring up to 43 men's squads.
The top two teams and four individuals from each race will automatically advance to the 2008 NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Ind., on Nov. 24.

Course Information (see map)
Course is primarily flat with a few small rolling hills and undulations.
The largest hill is located just after Bennett Bridge at the 1800-meter mark in the 4k loop. It is approximately 30 meters long with a 20-degree slope.
Entire course takes place on a grass field with the exception of a 5-meter long bridge and three access roads, all will be covered with gravel and rock dust for the races.
The inside border of the course will be marked with stakes and yellow rope, however, much of the course will be marked on both sides.
For Spectators
Admission is free to the public. Teams will not be charged for parking, and visitors will be charged $6 per vehicle.

From Raleigh, Greensboro & Winston-Salem:
Take I-40 West to Exit 182
Take left on Harper Road
At light, take right onto Hwy. 158
Tanglewood Park is 1/10th of a mile on the left.
From Charlotte:
Take I-77 North
I-40 East, Exit 180
Follow directions below.
From Hickory and Statesville:
Take I-40 East, Exit 180
Take right on Hwy. 801
At stoplight, take left on Hwy. 158
Tanglewood Park is 2 miles on the right.
