Assistant Cheer Coach Tanya Bowles, who joined the Demon Deacon Coaching staff in the spring of 2002, is in her eighth season at Wake Forest. Since she has been assisting with the program, Wake Forest Cheer Teams have had the best finishes in school history at national competition. Bowles is also the Judging Coordinator and Executive Staff member for All-Star Challenge, a Varsity Brands competition circuit. Bowles choreographs routines for high school and all-star programs nationwide and is well-respected in the world of competitive cheerleading. She has also served as a judge on the All-Star World Championship Judging Panel, and she is AACCA Safety Certified. Bowles is the former director of the North Carolina High School Cheerleading Association and coached five-time high school state champions, Davie County. Bowles has also been the Assistant Director of Business Development for both Spirit Xpress and All Star Challenge, both cheerleading companies. Bowles resides in Advance with her husband, Timothy, their two daughters, Meredith (12) and Lindsay (9) and their son, Alexander, who will celebrate his first birthday this coming season. |
