2009 Speed And Athletic Development Class Activities include: Tumbling drills, hurdle joint mobility drills, cone agility drills, speed technique, dot drills, low level plyometrics (jump training), medicine ball throws, Olympic weightlifting techniques, kettle-bell lifting techniques, squatting movements with one and both legs, bodyweight calisthenics and static stretching. GOLF, MALE The Jerry Haas Summer Golf Camp gives young golfers, ages 11-18, a unique opportunity to live on a college campus and learn the game of golf from some of the best in the business. Coach Haas and a staff of college coaches serve as camp counselors and golf instructors during each session. Campers receive personal instruction covering everything from short game to the rules of golf. Play and practice are at the Haddock Golf Center at Wake Forest and Tanglewood Park. Campers stay in the Arnold Palmer residence hall. Enrollment is limited. Dates are June 8-12, June 22-26, and June 29-July 3. GOLF, FEMALE The Dianne Dailey Girls Golf Day Camp will be held from June 14-18. Ages for day campers run from 8-18. Participants receive professional instruction from a qualified staff of collegiate coaches and LPGA teaching professionals. Campers are grouped by age and skill and receive intensive instruction each day in full swing, short game and putting. Other topics include course management, rules and etiquette. Daily progress reports and videotaping are tools for encouragement during and after camp. Instruction and play take place at the Haddock Golf Center at Wake Forest and Tanglewood Park. Hours for day campers are 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. with lunch included. 2009 Junior Girls Camp Brochure The Dianne Dailey Ladies Golf Camp will be held June 1-7. The camp, which is for ladies ages 18 and over, will be held in four sessions. The first three sessions are for beginner and intermediate golfers. Session 1 will be from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on June 1-5. Session 2 will be 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. on June 1-5. Both Session 1 and 2 include a playing lesson on one of the local courses. Session 3 will be 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. on June 1-4. Our facility consists of a fully-lighted stadium and two practice fields. Spry is one of the finest facilities in the country. The campus has three gated entrances which are restricted after 10pm and monitored by WFU campus police. TENNIS, BOYS & GIRLS The Nike Tennis Camp is open to player's age 8-17. The dates are June 21-25, July 12-16 and July 19-23. Tennis Campers are divided into small groups according to age and ability. Instruction, on and off the court, includes lectures, and match play. Each camper receives a pair of Nike tennis shoes and camp t-shirt. Enrollment is limited.

VOLLEYBALL The Black & Gold Volleyball Camp dates are July 6-16th, 2009. A Setter/Hitter Advanced Skills Camp will run on July 6th for Girls Ages 13-18. A Youth Commuter Camp will run July 6-7th for boys & girls ages 7-12. Back this summer is the All Skills Camp July 7-9th which is an overnight camp for Girls Ages 13-18. The two editions of Team Camp run July 10-13th (Team Skills & Tournament Camp) and July 14-16th (Team Competition Camp). Volleyball Camps take place in four air-conditioned gyms inside Reynolds Gymnasium on the campus of Wake Forest University. Camps are designed and offered for beginner, intermediate and advanced players. Campers work on various aspects of their games under some of the top supervision in the country.
